ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
SUMMARY
Negotiators should seek a revised classification of environmental services which includes
systems for environmental clean up, remediation, prevention and monitoring. With this broader
classification, negotiators should seek deep and broad commitments across all modes of supply.
Environmental services providers should also be allowed to import, on a temporary duty free
basis, tools of the trade and equipment essential to the provision of those services.
The attached CSI paper examines priorities for environmental services in greater detail.
