Problems Faced by SME Exporters  

The formal and informal form of local tax and levies are the main problems faced 

by 44 percent the SME exporters in running their business. The second problem 

faced by the SME is due to the time and cost of obtaining different kind permit 

(29%) from the local government offices. Thirdly, is the international non tariff 

barrier (22%) and lastly, is the 5 % due to domestic non tariff barrier (see figure 

3.3.15).
