The SME further indicate that with the global economy facing them ahead, the 

government should avoid giving any form of protection to any segment of the 

business. The most important aspect for the government is to provide a fair and 

conducive business climate, to allow competition and let the market lead. The 

kind of protection that was asks by the SME exporter is mostly related to the 

security aspect, such as security and safety, rather then the economic way of 

protection.
