Second, the average latency can be reduced by 40% with the proposed ssl with bf model
compared to the ssl with session model, resulting in improved throughput. Third, the
proposed scheme provides high utilization and better load balance across all nodes.
The rest of this chapter is organized as follows. In Section 2 and 3, a brief summary
of related work and a overview of SSL are provided respectively. Section 4 outlines the
three application server mentioned, including our proposed backend forwarding scheme,
and Section 5 presents the simulation platform. The performance results are analyzed
in Section 6, followed by concluding remarks in the last section.
