The solution to this problem is to recognize what search engines really are. They are merely one tool of many you should employ. They

are  NOT  the best  or  only  method of  marketing  your  web site.  Anyone  who  tells  you  otherwise  is  probably  trying  to  sell  you  their

 search engine placement  services.

While you should absolutely list yourself with them, you should not think of them as the end all be all.

Think  of  it  this  way   when  you  set  up  your  physical  office  space,  did  people  just  wander  in  off  the  street?  Did  you  get  ALL  your

business from the yellow pages ad? Of course not   so there is no reason to believe that search engines will be any different.
