Purpose of this guide

The purpose of this document is to provide customers with the information 

necessary to administer the Virtual Private Server (VPS) product.

Audience 

The audience for the document are Interland customers who have purchased the 

VPS product. 

Introduction

This handbook serves as a reference for Interland customers who have 

purchased one of the following products:

   VPS Standard

   VPS Root

The VPS product line represents a new generation of UNIX virtual server 

technology, with more power and flexibility than has ever been possible. VPS 

Root provides full root access to your virtual server, giving dedicated server 

functionality at an economical price.

This document identifies the features and services available on your VPS server, 

and provides basic information to help you get started. A collection of user 

tutorials and in depth examples on how to use these features and services is 

provided online via Interland's knowledgebase, the 

Answer Center

.

References to additional resources are provided to assist you with the more 

advanced features of these applications, which go beyond the scope of this guide.
