Document Views
One of the great features of Macromedia Dreamweaver MX that you won't find in
Microsoft Frontpage, is the split window that can display both the code and design
view at the same time. This is an excellent way to get familiar with, or more familiar
with HTML. And feel free to practice entering your own HTML.
As you develop the page in the design view, the corresponding HTML code is written
in the code view. Don't hesitate to type your own html in the code view if you feel
comfortable. If you do, remember to use the Refresh Design View icon on the
Docu
ment toolbar
to update the design view.
You can easily switch between views using the following methods:
Press Control+~ (tilde) (Win), apple+~ (tilde) (Mac).
Select the appropriate view from the View menu.
Use the view icons on the Document toolbar.
