7.4 Linking Options
Once you have a working link you may want to make some modifications like chang
ing the link color or where the linked page displays on the screen.
In addition, this section covers the setting of a target for a link. A target is a specific
page location for the destination of the link and is generally only used with framesets,
as the target determines the desired frame in which to open the new page. However,
as framesets are not supported in all web browsers, and many professional web
designers suggest using cascading style sheets in place of framesets, we will only dis
cuss the use of targeting as it pertains to opening the link destination in a new browser
window. Finally, we'll show you how to verify that your links are working properly;
it's an easy to use feature in the Results panel.
