Proposal to Add Federal Telecommunications Service Long Distance (FTS LD)
authentication and encryption technologies. Our facility and embedded
infrastructure provide customers with ongoing security operations and training
services in support of their life cycle needs.
6.6.1.1 Overview
The AT&T Mobile Satellite Service (MSS) Token Authentication offer provides a
fast and easy path to implementing strong authentication. This service provides
enhanced access security for a wide range of customer applications ranging from
enabling strong authentication for VPN to enabling secure access across their
enterprise, while avoiding the time and expense required to engineer, implement, and
manage the requisite infrastructure in house.
The AT&T MSS Token Authentication offer integrates in house technical expertise
managing and supporting a world class RSA SecurID implementation with their well
known customer care expertise thus providing a complete managed authentication
service for AT&T customers.
The RSA SecurID components of the AT&T MSS Token Authentication service
include:
RSA ACE/Server which serves as the authentication engine for the service.
The ACE/Server enables two factor authentication, providing a central
database for administration of user accounts. Features provided by the RSA
ACE/Server include: setting and enforcing security policies, and protecting
access to private network systems, files, and applications. The RSA
ACE/Server provides the ability to define access, based on time of day, day of
week, or by group or user defined access; create logs of user access; and
define and report alarm situations, such as repeated failed attempts to access a
network port.
