Contract # GS00T01AHD0002
Proposal to Add Federal Telecommunications Service Long Distance (FTS LD)
Chiller plants and multiple CRAC units provide air conditioning. The CRAC units
are strategically located to deliver lower temperature conditioned air to maintain a
room temperature of 72 F.
6.7.19.5 Internet
Data
Center Network Infrastructure
AT&T has designed and built reliability into the network infrastructure of each of the
Internet Data Centers through the use of proven network components, backup or
failover hardware, and configurations engineered to provide no single point of failure.
Each Internet Data Center utilizes two or more Cisco 7513 or Cisco 12000 Gbps
routers to transmit and receive data over high speed connections that leave the facility
through separate exits and travel physically diverse paths to multiple backbone nodes.
AT&T provisions and maintains all network connections from the Internet Data
Centers to the AT&T Global IP Network.
6.8 Broadband Business Services
6.8.1 AT&T Digital Subscriber Line (DSL)
DSL is a broadband access technology that allows transmission at bandwidths from
144 Kbps to 1.5 Mbps. DSL offers high bandwidth at lower prices than other types of
Private Line access. DSL Technology is available in several varieties. AT&T DSL
Internet Service utilizes Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line (SDSL), ADSL and
ISDN Digital Subscriber Line (ISDL) access technologies (described below). The
type of DSL access utilized will depend upon the access speed and the distance the
user is from the central office. The maximum speed possible on a circuit varies
inversely with the length of the local access. The longer the access, the smaller the
data speed. The suite of DSL services that are available from AT&T include:
