Web Hosting Getting Started Guide 102
You can rename or delete your page and rename one or several files at once in your File
Manager.
To rename a file:

Open your File Manager by clicking the "File Manager" link on the Create & Update,
Manage, or Index tabs of your Web Hosting Control Panel.

Select the checkbox to the left of each file you want to rename.

Click the "Rename" button.

On the following page, enter a new name for each file you selected.

Click "Rename Files" to save your changes.
Be sure your new file name doesn t contain any special characters, symbols, or spaces. File
names can contain only contain upper or lowercase letters, numbers, underscores, dashes,
and periods, and cannot start with a period.
To delete a file or multiple files:

Open your File Manager by clicking the "File Manager" link on the Create & Update,
Manage, or Index tabs of your Web Hosting Control Panel.

Select the checkbox to the left of each file you want to delete.

Click the "Delete" button.

You will see a page confirming that you want to delete the selected file(s). Choose
"Delete Files" to delete the file(s). Choose "Cancel" to return to the File Manager.
Note: If you have included spaces, special characters, or symbols in the name of the file you
want to delete, you won t be able to use File Manager to delete the file. To delete files with
problem file names, we suggest using an FTP client.
If your page doesn t already have a name, AlbumWizards will suggest one for you, or you can
enter your own. If you choose the same name as an existing file, you will be asked if you
want to overwrite the existing page with the one you re about to save. Select "Yes" and click
the "Next" button to save your page.
Why don t I see my page at my web address?
By default, the page you ll see when you visit your web address is "index.html." If you don t
have an index.html file, our servers will look for a file called "index.htm." If your web site
does not contain either of these files, you will get a warning, and your web site visitors will
see an error if they try to visit your web address.
When you signed up for your plan, we created an index.html file for you. This file can be
replaced with a page you create using one of our site building tools, such as SiteBuilder, or
your own site building software.
