Web Hosting Getting Started Guide 103
If you ve already created a home page but are not seeing this page at your web address, you
may need to rename your page (for example, if you named your home page "home.html,"
you should change its name to "index.html"). You can rename your page using File Manager:
Open your File Manager by clicking the "File Manager" link on the Create & Update,
Manage, or Index tabs of your Web Hosting Control Panel.
Check the box next to the file you want to rename.
Click the "Rename" button.
Enter the new name for your file ("index.html").
Click the "Rename" button to save your change.
Remember that file names are case sensitive. Your home page needs to be named
"index.html"; "Index.html" or "INDEX.html," for example, will not be displayed when you visit
your web address.

Starter Web Page Wizard
About the Starter Web Page Wizard
When you sign up for a Yahoo! Small Business plan, we automatically create a placeholder
"Under Construction" page for you at your web address (such as
http://www.widgetdesigns.com). Your visitors will see this default "Under Construction" page
when they go to your web address until you replace it.
The Starter Web Page Wizard allows you to customize the "Under Construction" page by
displaying your name, contact information, and some details about your business in a
professional looking, predesigned template. Your starter web page establishes a presence at
your domain until you are ready to build a more comprehensive, business class web site.
Please note that because the starter web page is not a full web site, you won t be able to alter
our templates, add pages, or include your own images or HTML code. To fully customize your
web presence and build a multipage site, try one of our other easy to use design tools.
To access the Starter Web Page Wizard, sign in to Yahoo! and visit your Web Hosting Control
Panel at http://webhosting.yahoo.com. In the Create & Update section of the Index tab, click
the "Starter Web Page Wizard" link.
