Data Storage Service supplies all the backend infrastructure
and expertise for a complete primary data storage solution through a pre built, high
availability, managed Storage Area Network (SAN) service.
AT&T Ultravailable Data Storage Service offers a Raid 1, fully mirrored enterprise
data storage with SRDF Symmetrix Remote Data Facility (SRDF) capabilities. This
enterprise storage platform utilizes Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC's) advanced
PowerPath software, which is loaded onto the Government's equipment. PowerPath
integrates multiple path Input/Output (I/O) capabilities and provides automatic
workload balancing, access and path failover. This provides much greater efficiencies
across the disk arrays and greater throughput.
This storage solutions allows the Government to plug into a SAN infrastructure via
Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) installed on the Government's host servers, utilizing the
EMC infrastructure. A professional service assessment of the Government's data
requirements including capacity planning, environmental survey and SLA
requirements is included. Implementation of the storage solution and ongoing
management and monitoring is also part of the service. Service availability is 99.99
percent.
