Contract # GS00T01AHD0002
Proposal to Add Federal Telecommunications Service Long Distance (FTS LD)
(ARIN). These criteria have been developed to conserve the scarce IPv4 address
space. The Government will be assigned address space based on the Government's
immediate need, and future projected needs. Fees may apply based on the number of
requested and utilized IP Address spaces per rack.
All address space given out by AT&T is NON PORTABLE the addresses do not
belong to the Government and upon cancellation of AT&T service cannot be taken to
another service provider.
The ARIN will charge a recurring yearly fee for any address space obtained directly
from them by the Government or the Government's company. AT&T will not pay
this fee if the Government obtains address space directly from the ARIN.
6.7.18 Reaching Peak Performance with Location
As a compliment to the AT&T Enterprise Hosting Services, our Internet Data Centers
are optimized specifically to provide an industry leading web, data, and applications
server hosting environment. Each Internet Data Center is protected from intrusion and
failure by multi layered security, failsafe redundancy, diversity measures, and rapid
response recovery measures.
6.7.19 Internet Data Centers
As of June 2001, AT&T has 18 operational centers on three continents representing
1.8 million square feet of web hosting space. Our center locations have been hand
selected to ensure the greatest diversity across the entire AT&T network thus helping
increase reach and performance. We are also aggressively expanding our Internet
Data Center locations. During 2000, we expanded our web hosting floor space by
more than 600 percent and quadrupled the capacity of our IP backbone.
