Registering Hosting Controller

Once you have paid for Hosting Controller you need to register Hosting Controller to permanently enable its

features.

To register Hosting Controller:

1. Click on the Register HC link in the Preferences menu.

2. Enter your registration number in the HC Serial Number field and click on the

button.

Setting up SQL Server

Hosting Controller enables you to set up and control all of the settings for SQL Server, if you have it installed on

your web server. The settings include the server name, administrator name and password, IP address, whether

you are using an UNC path a virtual server that is holding the SQL data file, and whether that server is on a

remote machine.

To set up SQL Server:

1. Click on the MS SQL Settings link in the Preferences menu.

2. Enter the name of the server in the SQL Server Name field.

3. Enter the administrator name and password for SQL Server in the SQL Server Administrator Name

and SQL Server Administrator Password fields. Repeat the password in the Retype Password field.

4. Enter the IP address of the SQL server and a comma separated list of available SQL Server names in the

SQL Server IP Address and Available SQL Servers fields.

Note:

If your SQL server is located on a remote computer, you do not need to enter information into

these two fields.
