Setting up a mail server
Hosting Controller enables you to set up a wide variety of mail servers for your clients. The following mail servers
are available (check on each product's web site for registration and payment details):
IMail
Post.Office
VOPMail
MailMax
Merak
SendMail
XMail
Note: Only one mail server can be operational at any one time.
To set up a mail server:
1. Click on the Mail Settings link in the Preferences menu.
2. Click on the Enable Mail Service tick box to enable a mail server on your server.
3. Click on the Mail on Remote Server tick box if your mail server is located on a remote computer.
4. Choose your installed mail server from the Mail Server Type drop down list, and
button.
5. This step varies depending on which mail server you chose in the previous window. Follow the instructions
for the required mail server below:
IMail Enter the required port number in the available field.
Post.Office Enter the required port number in the available field.
VOPMail Choose the type of mailbox from the VOP MailBox Type drop down list.
MailMax Enter the virtual directory, install locations, and DNS name in the available fields.
Merak Enter the required port number in the available field.
SendMail Enter the required server name and port number in the available fields.
XMail Enter the required server name, port number, and administrator name and password in the
available fields.
