Setting up an SMTP server
You can set up and alter the details of your SMTP server at any time, including the path the recycle bin and
mail spool folders, number of retries the server attempts for sending mail, and the maximum number of threads
to create at any one time when sending email. Multiple SMTP servers are supported.
To set up SMTP:
1. Click on the SMTP Settings link in the Preferences menu.
2. Enter the IP address or name of your SMTP server in the SMTP Server Info field.
3. Enter the paths of the mail spool folder and the recycle bin folders in the Mail Spool Path and Recycle
bin Path fields. It is useful to keep these folders within the same SMTP related folder.
4. Enter the number of times the SMTP server will try to send mail in the Mail Retries field.
5. Enter the interval, in seconds, for how long the SMTP server will process mail on the spool path in the
Mail Timer field.
6. Enter the number of separate email threads created by the SMTP server at the same time in the Mail
