Registering a domain

Hosting Controller has two separate functions that allows you to deal with domains:

  Enom   Enom is an ICAAN accredited domain name registrant. You can purchase, transfer, and check

domain names securely using Enom's secure server. Any Hosting Controller user can use Enom.

  Names4Ever   Names4Ever is a domain name registrant that allows you to register, modify, delete, renew,

transfer, query, or check domains through Hosting Controller. You can only use Names4Ever if your hosting

administrator is a registered member   refer to your hosting administrator for more information.

To register a domain:

1. Click on the Register Domain link in the Register Domain menu.

2. Click on the Enom or Names4Ever options in the Domain Registrant drop down list and click on the

button.

3. If you chose the Enom option, you are now presented with the Enom web page. You can purchase, transfer,

and check domain names securely using a Enom's secure server. You are now finished with this procedure.

If you chose the Names4Ever option, click on the Register domain radio button and click on the

button.

4. You need to complete all fields with a red star next to them. Enter the domain name that you want to

register and the password twice in the Domain Name, Password, and Retype password fields.

5. Enter the name of your organization in the Organization field and choose the number of years that you

want to register this domain for from the Registration period drop down list.

6. Enter the name of your primary name server and its IP address in the Primary Name Server and IP

fields. Refer to your hosting administrator if you do not know this information.

7. Fill in all the details of your administrative contact for this domain in the Administrative contact area.

It is important to include accurate information here, particularly the email address, as this person will be

contacted whenever there are any problems or changes that need to be made this domain.

8. Click on the

button. You will now receive information explaining that you have successfully registered

that domain.
