Checking and fixing Extensions

You can check the installation of FrontPage Extensions on your site, whether a specific folder or your entire site,

and verifies that file permissions and FrontPage specific directories are fixed. This feature will automatically fix

any problems relating to file permissions and directories.

To check and fix extensions:

1. Click on the Check and Fix Extensions link in the Front Page menu.

2. Choose the domain name for the Extensions from the Virtual Host Name drop down list.

3. Specify the port number for the Extensions in the Port Number field. The default value is usually the

correct one.

4. Enter the name of the Extensions folder in the Web Name field.

5. Click on the

button.

Recalculating links

Hosting Controller enables you to check and recalculate all links in a particular FrontPage directory. This can be

a time consuming process, so only use it if you need to.

To recalculate links:

1. Click on the Recalculate Links link in the Front Page menu.

2. Choose the domain name for the Extensions from the Virtual Host Name drop down list.

3. Specify the port number for the Extensions in the Port Number field. The default value is usually the

correct one.

4. Enter the name of the Extensions folder in the Web Name field.

5. Click on the

button.
