Over the last few weeks, we have had several customers questions if AIT might be on the 

auction block. After all, Internet properties are changing hands quickly these days, and a 

profitable entity like AIT would certainly be an attractive acquisition. The answer is a 

resounding "no". This company is not going to change hands and for a variety of reasons. First, 

we like what we do and the goal of the founder was to establish a company that would last, not 

one that could be unloaded for a fast buck. Secondly, the staff here is relatively young; a pile of 

money is a great thing, but who wants to spend the next 40 or so years counting it. Everyone 

needs something to get them out of bed in the morning, and for most of the staff, coming here 

and working on new ways of expanding the company is that reason. Finally, a sale would mean a 

small group of people would get rich and the bulk of the staff, those people who provide the 

backbone of the operation, would be in limbo. In all good conscience, the founders of this 

company are not about to tell dozens of hard working people that they re on their own because of 

a big pay day. In short, AIT s ownership will remain firmly in place for years to come. If 

anything, we may be buying new properties.
