looking to improve his site s standing in search engines. Some search engines simply list your
site, while others go further, looking for additional information that can accurately describe your
site. META tags are a means of indexing your site and retaining control of how that s done.
Since you put in these HTML implants, you know they provide true descriptions of your
business. META tags should always appear within the tags of the source HTML on your site.
These descriptors are not always visible to a browser, but they are spotted by the search engine.
Here s how a typical tag would look: Proper use of META tags can be a powerful marketing tool
